I am really thinking of taking the plunge to Vista, It came on the machine I bought about 1 year ago but went back to XP.  but with recent testing of of the two It looks like driver versions and no small part SP1 and the updates since then Have got vista right there with xp I wouldnt go buy it but since I already have it I might as well. 2 questions though for those of you that use Vista is there a drop in perfomace with fs9. and 2 the hard one. I have 2 options I have DDR2 memeory installed right now 2gigs operating at 667m. I have 1 gig sitting in a box 2 515 sticks. but it is slower operating at 566 I think. going to vista should I install it and have 3 gigs but slow it down some. or keep the 2 gigs and operate faster. I created a poll to make it easier.
overall specs
Core2 duo E6300 (soon to be Quad) in about November
8800gt 512
320 Sata harddrive

None of the above. 2gbs of 800 or 3gbs of 667. I run 3 at 667. Works great with a 2.5ghz dual core (soon to be quad also :)) 320gb HD and 8800gt ;D My games and FS takes up a full 2gbs leaving the rest for vista to mess with. ;) Get 1 x 2gb sticks and a 1 x 1gb stick. Works faster in theory.
