How long should it take?

Well, recently a buddy of mine came over and he had a virus called the Parite.B virus.

He connected to our network, and then, we later got it, and so I got it successfully off of my parents and other laptops, but not my Desktop! I am now reformatting using the 2nd option, the one that doesn't say "quick", and I am wondering how long it should take, as it's at 33%, and it's going at less than 2% every 5 mins, not to mention we're going to San Diego tomorrow, so I can fly a plane and go to legoland, so I am kind of screwed.

Should it be done soon, or not?

It's a 500 GB hard drive and I had only used about 100 GB...

If I were you I would avoid your Buddy and your Parents. They seem to be sneezing all over you!... :o.... ;D.... ;D... ;D...!

As for your 500 GB Hard Drive...yet another very good reason for NOT going over the top with a massive hard drive!...

...my 80 GB Hard drive takes long enough to Defrag, as it is!... :o...!

A couple of smaller Hard Drives makes more sense to me...;)...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

I don't exactly want to use RAID, it seems very buggy.
