**APOLOGIES WRONG FORUM** Can a moderator please move this to hardware, thanks!

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone here had the Saitek Three Lever Pro Throttle Quadrant: http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-Three-Thro ... 978&sr=1-1

Would you recommend it?

I have heard some problems about calibration and "phantom keystrokes". I have a registered version of FSUIPC and I was wondering, if I did buy this product and did encouter problems, how much hassle I would have to go through to correct them?

Thank you.

PS: Can anyone recommend a decent joystick which can be used both left handed/right handed? My current Saitek X52 is only right handed.

Yes - the throttle is nice to have. You do get odd phantom key strokes - but not often - I regard them as simple quirks. What happens is it may suddenly appear a key has been pressed - you can then quickly press the key that resets the phantom key. For example, on mine - the flaps may suddenly go - and I have to reduce flaps again. It keeps me on my toes. Either way  -its not terrible.

You will like the throttles --

I like my Saitek cyborg force stick that is either left or right handed. Its cheap and sturdy  -had it for 5 years already - no problems at any time

Hey volunteer thanks. Can you confirm the dimensions of the quadrant without the clamp at the front (cm)?

I'll have look at that joystick.

5 inches deep,6 inches high 3.5 inches wide, controls stick out extra 2.5 inches. It maybe be possible to get rid of the clamp and simply put something heavy on top of it, and using non-slide rubber matting under it; to stop it from moving when moving the controls.

Spotted a 6 axis lever system, 3 groups of 2. Can't recall the make/model but if you're into FS come in handy (twin engine planes)
