Joystick intermittent fault only
Posted: Tue May 06, 2008 6:31 pmAgain last night. Perfect approach ILS 7R to new HKong ...A/T off, apply more to N1 and it swings to port as my joystick throttle only wants to apply power now to engine 1.
Great! That's just Great........
Made it to the gate okay with a bit of A/T minimal power (4knots) to correct the steerage swing on taxi
Unplug and plugin again as Microsortout Sidewinder page suggest 3 or 4 times (but a bit hard to do at 1nm out without a first officer)
Prior takeoff on this long haul and all four were okay on power to V1 using joystick throttle. -----------Annoying little gremlin usually only on landing!
A standard sidewinder which I am normally happy with and only happens on irregular basis both for two and four engine a/c.
Anybody else get that? :-?
(I cannot replace her as there are no shops and none available where I am living and working so you can understand my request)
P.S. I now save all my landings before the downwind legs.
