Okay my dad has told me that he would think about getting the parts to a computer if I get the price under $1600
Grand Total after shipping : $1,500.38
Tell me if you think this is okay for what limitations I have.
Sorry for the long list!

I would drop the 1Tb to 720Gb but I guess if your dad's paying...
looks good so far. Looks like you're going to have a few rebates to fill out...

Once you trim the cost of the 1TB to the 500GB, look into getting a WD raptor drive as well. Also, you don't have a processor listed...?

What processor? If you don't know I'd look at the 45nm Core 2 duos, just make sure, if you get a quad, get one with 12mb of L2 cache NOT the cut down 6mb versions.

Only a 19" I'd get a 20" or 22"
Not too sure of motherboard, I don't see many recommending nvidia chipset boards recently.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116060Everything looks good...
I would make sure that the Vista does NOT (NOT NOT NOT) come pre-installed with SP1. There is an extensive list of Vista Compatible programs that are on the Vista SP1 incompatible list (especially antivirus software.) Though I have not had any problems, we had to download the trial version of trend micro IS 08 pre loaded with the fix (because our cd one didn't) and enter the key from there which was a hassle. So.

It all looks good, a few tweaks would be a 20" or larger widescreen monitor. Also consider using a 500GB or even 320GB hard drive, you can always add another later on. It will take a long time to fill either of those.
I can recommend the Corsair XMS2 DDR2 6400 RAM, I use it in my system (4x1GB) and it performs very well and it is overclocked.
If you want to push the system you could look at getting an after market CPU cooler. The Thermalright 120 Ultra is one of the best. Others include Zalman 9700. If you only want a mild o/c consider the Zalman 9500. The Q6600 will reach 3.0GHz on stock voltage (1.25v) easy.
Have you got any speakers lined up?
Consider the Corsair range of PSUs as an alternative.
I agree with the suggestion of looking at a 3870, but if you wanted to crossfire later you would need a different motherboard. (X38 or X48 etc..)
As for reasons. The PC will enable you to do work etc. like any pc would. This one will give you something to look forward to and make you work hard so you can get your work done and play games, learn flight sim or whatever you want to do.

PERSONALLY!!!! (wanted to emphasive

) I wouldn't go with DDR3 especially if your on a budget. I'm sure Nick won't like this comment but.....
That's my OPINION I would use that money for a better video card or something of that nature....
And
this is a really good cpu cooler although it is HUGE. It fits in my antec 900 fine.
These are my ideas

You do realise you need a CPU right?
