I was just wondering if stock cooling is usually Ok? Or what would be the best course for proper cooling right now I have not OC at all but soon to upgrade to a Q6600. And will OC some Not extreme. Right now I have a Core2 E6300
2gigs Ram 667
320 Gig sata Harddrive
8800GT OC
750 watt Power supply
80 gig back up drive
DVD writer
Memory card reader
Current cooling is not counting power supply fan I only have 1 50mm fan in rear of case. With the holes I am going to remove that and replace it with the wire grills cover.

Quads will run hotter than a core 2 (obviously 4 cores versus 2) the q6600's stock cooling is good for stock speeds, if you want to oc I would recommend an aftermarket cooler.

Should I add case fan(s) or is it fine with just the one.

Id recommend at least one drawing in cool air and one expelling it

I agree, I don't think a 50mm fan would cover it.
You can get some small accesory fans on NewEgg for about $4.00

Stock cooling is fine if you're running stock with a quad. Mine got to about 65 degrees C after some Prime95... doesn't pass 60 in real life usage.

Sounds like you need a new case. Intake and exhaust fans are a must, as are CPU and GPU fans.

I found after building my rig that the proper case and loads of quality fans can keep big rigs very cool.
I suggest atleast 120mm fans, 2 in the box. one intake and one out.
By default the CPU should have a fan and it helps when the GPU has a fan.
Some PSU have fans placed at the bottom, the side facing downwards in the case. The bigger the better, some even comes with a 140mm fan.
With that you should be running as cool as a cucumber ;)

The Q6600 are great oveclockers even with the stock cooler.
The temp really does not increase when OCing them unless you increase the core voltage.
I go mine at almost 3 gigs with the default voltage
That said, you do need a case with adequate cooling.

That will be my PSU then :) Thermaltake Toughpower 750W. Lovely and quiet! My case is thermal take and has 3 fans. One on the front, one on the back and one on the side. Don't know which suck in air and which expel, although I think the front one might suck in as if you put your hand in front of it it's cold but doesn't blow on your hand.
