Will this mother board

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813188025

work with this type of RAM?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231167

Speed of the RAM is DDR3 1600 and the standard speed of the board (read from Newegg Specs) is DDR3 2000(OC)/1800(OC)/1333. I do not see 1600 in there anywhere. What exactly does it mean for my RAm and Board? Can they work together?

Almost forgot...

the 790i has PCI Express x16 slots or PCI Express 2.0 slots? Manual says PCI Express x16 but Newegg says 2.0. Which one is right and is PCI Express x16 just short nowadays for 2.0 PCIs?

2.0 is faster than PCIe x16 but is backwards compatible.
The board is 2.0.

I think the list is just the tested modules. Not truly compatable or not.

Should be fine, if I had a borad that said ddr2 at 800mhz, that doesn't meen I cant make the ram run at a 1000mhz and it wont work. Just like my 680i board says 1333fsb, well my processor is running a 1800fsb currently

I looked at the RAM on that list and they look similar to the one you want so it looks ok.
