SLI question.

Hello, i m new on this sli things. My question is:
i have a nvidia 7600gt and a 7950 gt, can they be connected together is a sli mode or they have to be equal graphic cards.

No, they can't. Cards in SLi must be EXACTLY the same model, and from the same manufacturer.

Example:

An BFG Tech 7950GT must be paired with another BFG Tech 7950GT, it could not be paired with an EVGA 7950GT.... Hope that makes sense ;)

Basically you must buy two identical cards from the same manufacturer for SLi to work.

Celtman, you are almost correct. However SLI is no longer that strict.

Nvidia has made it so as long as the GPUs are the same it will work.

EX. XFX 7600GT & EVGA 7600GT will work, even if the memory size and/or clock speeds are different.

XFX 7600GT & XFX 7600GTS Will NOT work because the GPU isn't the same.

Chipset should be of the same type. If clocks arent matched, slowest is the lead.
