Motherboard Drivers:  Proper Install Order?

Postby raptorx » Fri Mar 21, 2008 2:54 pm

I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 rev. 2.0 and I am updating my motherboard drivers.  What is the correct order in which to install these?  I have:

1) Intel chipset driver
2) Intel SATAII RAID driver
3) Gigabyte LAN Realtek driver

Not using audio driver because I have a Creative xtreme gamer.  Also, If I'm not using the Gigabyte SATA RAID ports I don't need the Gigabyte SATA RAID drivers, correct?

Thanks,  Jim

Chipset is always the first to go in and if a reboot is requested for ANY driver, DO IT and NEVER skip that and try to install another

Also, if you are not using the onboard sound, go into the BIOS and shut it off so it does not sit there and request bus time for any reason..

The rest does not matter however I typically leave video drivers for last
