Can't install XP from DVD-ROM.
I've looked all over and I can't find an answer to my problem:
I'm trying to reformat and reinstall XP to one of my WD Raptors and when I try to boot from the CD I get a "Trap" error, 00000006 or something like that. On another attempt I get a "general protection fault" and a "0000000D" and a whole bunch of other DOS crap I don't understand.
My current install of XP works fine (except I've uninstalled everything, including FSX). My system is not overclocked at this time. I pass at least one round of Memtest86 so I don't think it's the memory.
I've used this XP CD to do clean installs before. It's a certified copy, I've validated all previous installs w/this disk. So what the hell is wrong here? All of a sudden I can't boot to the XP CD but everything else works fine?

As far as your tweak list for XP, does all that apply to 64-bit as well? Is there anything I need to be aware of? Will NOD32 be good coverage for XP 64bit?
