Master problem traced.

0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
Apparantly, this stop error occurs because my motherboard handles linked memory extremely poorly, when first installed, continuous long beeps were heard, indicating a memory problem, but only when I had two sticks of RAM plugged in, it booted successfully with just one.
Me and my stepfather traded memory, and it sort of worked out with linking the memory, save the constant BSOD limbo my computer entered.
This problem has now been isolated, my motherboard handles its memory poorly, so what can I do for maintenance?
Current specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Memory: 2.01GHz, 512MB (possibly 1GB, but motherboard complains)
Graphics: ATI Radeon X800
HDD: 84GB Memory
OS: Windows XP Pro
Current FS build: FS2004
