Should I buy it?

I have an opportunity to buy an AMD  Phenom 9500+ 2.2GHz Agena four-core for a hundred bucks. It is presently in use in a machine, so I know it works. The seller puts together machines (he built this one) and I asked him via email if he'd put it in. No reply yet. My question is: How much faster would the Phenom be over the 5000+ Black Edition I've got now? Black Editions are dirt simple to OC; the Phenom in question does not OC. Would you buy it?

Thanks for the advice, gents, but I think I'm going to do it. He'll put it in along with the second DVD drive (not yet installed) and configure it to make it work correctly for $150. I think that's a bargain. I know the Phenom is faster; I just do not know by how much. In any event, four cores at 2.2 GHz has got to have more number-crunching horsepower than two cores at 2.6, wouldn't you think? I hate "lag" in my computing. ARRRRGH!!

... ::) If you want a faster system, I'd replace the base system with a Intel Quad system.

Much much faster than the AMD quad's.
