24 pinnpower supply to 20 pin motherboard

Postby cavity » Sun Feb 10, 2008 9:18 am

I was just wondering if I have to buy a converter, or if I can separate the 4 extra pins on the 24 pin plug.  The plug is designed to do this, just wanted to make sure that a converter isnt needed.  Thanks

That is what they designed the removeable 4 pin connector for... just release the 4 pin slide from the 24 pin power connector and the remaining 20 pin goes to the MB.
