Well, I just replaced my E6850 and 8800GTS 320mb with a Q6600 and a G92 8800GTS 512mb.

The chip was an OEM from the Egg.  $255, offset nicely by selling my E6850.  The card was $340-again, offset by selling the G80 card.  For the improvement I'm very pleased.  The extra cores more then made up for the loss of 270mhz (I haven't gotten the Q past 3.6 stable).

How much did it set you back?

A Tuniq Tower.  Replaced my Zalman 9700 that was cooling the C2D.  I haven't tried the Zalman on the quad though.

You can do all that overclocking...and yet, you can't figure out how to take screenshots?? That just makes me laugh ;D ;D ;D

I can't get a shot that's the right size.  They're all 5mb!  I do "cntl print screen" and paste it into paint, and save it as a .bmp.  Then when I shrink it it's still 5mb.  :-/

That's an awesome program!  And I have some really good ahots, BUT:

I can't get these suckers below 150k without making them microscopic!

I can get a decent shot at around 250-300k and that's it.

Open the shots in IrfanView & resize the images to 1024 pixel width (or less). Then click File/Save As & select JPG - JPEG format in the 'Save as type' box. The default setting should save the image well within the size limit. Experiment with the quality slider until you get the file size just below 150 Kb. Each shot will probably need a different compression setting.

OK, with all due respect I think the 150kb size limit on screenshots is lame.
