I heard a rumor that I can hook up my real Garmin 396 to my PC and fly fs9 and the Garmin will display the flight as it is being flown on the sim??? I would love to do this with mine does anyone know how???? I assume there is some software and a usb cable?
I hate to see my expensive gps sitting there collecting dust between flights it would be awesome if I could use it functionally in my sim.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would list my whole system but it would take a month,
its an older pc (4 yrs)  that is used solely for fs9 and nothing else on it accept xp pro.

That sounds kinda cool...Although I'd rather take up a real aircraft and check it out :P :P

Thanks anyway I figured it out, if anyone else is interested you need a serial cable ( not a usb ) and (gpsout) a program that relays the information to the gps. pretty neat setup takes a little bit of fiddling with the .ini to make it work correctly, waas works on it also. now if ony there was a way to couple it to the autopilot !
