Pros and cons would be appreciated [particularly the Sapphire version.] Noise is an important factor for me!

Well, I have the HD2600 pro 512mb, which is basicaly the same card with a different chip. I can tell you that the card itself is very quiet, certainly makes less noise than the main CPU fan.
However, if you can stretch to it, it's worth noting that the 'pro' is the more basic of the two levels on each card. The HD2900 XT will be better.
