So I will buy the Sapphire HD 3870 and apparently I need a new power supply because the card needs at least 450 watts. I found one from Trust at 570 watts for 57 euros(about 80USD). Should I buy it? I mean, it is so cheaper than other ones. In example I saw one power supply at 320watts for about the same price! I think that Trust is a good company..But that price...
Also, is it easy to put this part in my computer? They told me I have to unscrew some bolts, and connect it..Is that right? I have some experience at installing parts in my PC (Last month I installed two Gigs of RAM)..Can I do it?

The PSU is one of, it not THE most important components in any system. Don't skimp on it, a good stable one may cost a bit extra but it will be worth it in the long run. On the other hand, many people get along just fine with cheap PSUs and have no problem but remember when a PSU goes belly up it will more than likely take some hardware with it... usually the motherboard.

As for Trust as a company, I've used their products before. They're what I would call "Average" in quality. My first set of 5.1 speakers were a Trust product and at the time I thought they were the business, loud and powerful...until I bought a Creative set then realised how "average" they really were.  ;)

Should you trust Trust? No...

I found their products to be quite unreliable and as CharlottesDad said, they are pretty average.

I had a graphics tablet made by Trust and in under 5 days I had returned it. My Wacom tablet has been abused more so than the tablet and the only damage after nearly 2 years is that the pen has a crack in it and one of the buttons in the pen (replaceable of course) is broken.


Quality comes at a price with computers as experience will tell me... Choose a highly respected brand such as Thermaltake for your powersupply. They charge a bit more than other brands but I have found the quality of their products to be very good. You don't wanna go blowing your powersupply or having it get broken, so choose a good brand.


As for installing it, do what I did: Open the case (after it has been unplugged of course and press the power button to remove any charge) and remove any one of the wires. Note what type of wire it was on some paper and then do the next one. This is so that you know that you have plugged the right cable into the right slot... AND that you have plugged in all the neccisary amount of cables. Unscrew the powersupply, usually from the outside of the case, and support it so it doesnt crush all your componants. Put the new powersupply into the old slot and screw it in. Plug in the cables as they are on the list you just made and tick them off as you do. It is that easy.

Its either going to be very easy or a pain the butt, depends on your case. You usually undo the 4 screws holding the PSU in and it slides backwards and out, but if you have a small case, sometimes the PSU cant squeeze past the CPU heatsink.

I would recommend a Tagan PSU as i have been very happy with mine.

Enermax make some good PSU's, as do Seasonic.

Thanks for the replies guys..I dont think I will buy it..Although its a bargain I will buy a better(more expensive too) PSU..I dont want my PC to start throwing sparks or something. I unscrewed the PSU, disconnected some cables and it was easy just as o-76-o said 8-). I think I will put it together with the card on Saturday(when my father comes,cause he has the money )..Thanks again!
