I've been happily using my X52 for ages, and my only complaint so far is that the rudder twist has gone completely wonky. As it is, when the stick is just sitting there untouched, it's showing the rudder input as full right. When I pull back on the stick, it jumps between full left and full right, and only a very gentle twist to the left will put the input back dead center. I've reset the deadzones so much that I only have a sliver of usable space, and pulling the locking tab on the stick doesn't help anything either. My warranty's already expired and I really don't relish the thought of fighting the crowds at the stores this time of year just so I can buy another one of these sticks, so I was thinking of *gasp* opening the stick up and tinkering with it. Thing is, I'm not about to open it up unless I know what I'm doing beforehand.
Would you fine folks know if there's anything I can tinker with inside the stick to fix the TOTALLY CRAZY rudder inputs, or will I be in for less pain, wailing and gnashing of teeth if I have to fight the holiday crowds?:)
Thanks in advance!
