8800GT

Postby ThatOnePerson » Thu Nov 22, 2007 12:04 am

Just ordered myself one, everyone wont let me open till xmas though :( But I managed to convince them seeing as these go out of stock so darn quickly.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150254

Thats the one I got, I think it will be a good alternative to a GTX since I only run in 1280x1024, hopefully I can get a second in the near future as well 8-)

In other news Ive also ordered my new pc components, those I will be able to assemble when they come :) So lets hope for no headaches from pc's ;D

Do you have it all ready? If so, what do you think of it?

8800GT thread?

8800GTX is not a 8800GT.

It is an awsome card. I had a 640 GTS that I sold and bought the GT. So far is OC well and runs FSX like a dream. If i had a better cpu FSX would be running damn near full throttle (with a lack of cars, trucks, planes of course)

I am interested to see the GTS Rev 2 but more interested in AMDs new Spider platform :P

I noticed the price on the 8800GT is listed as $309 USD. Is that the same 8800GT that was going for $900+ USD a few months ago?

The 8800Gt has only been out a month or two, your probably thinking of the GTX that was 900

Hmm 900 USD was propably during the launch of the 8800Ultra. GPU sellers like to CRANK the prices near launch day because they know all the rich boys that had to lengthen their ePeen will buy it.
