Hi:

I need some help getting my rudder pedals to work in conjunction with a Logitech joystick that uses a twist handle for the rudder action.

How to I disable the joystick when it come to rudder input. I am used to rudder pedals and find the twist handle much too sensitive to deal with.

I'm pretty much of a novice when it comes to this stuff...

The old " rudder pedal, twisty yoke conflict"..  Yeah, it's annoying. No matter how careful you try to be... you'll always twist that stick a little, when pitching or banking... and that temporarily over-rides the rudder pedals.. It can make for a messy, x-wind landing.

I tried setting a maximum null-zone, and minimum sensitivity for the joystick rudder-axis, but it still glitched a little. I ended up opening up the joystick and un-plugging the rudder sensor (I think it's a teeny potentiometer). You'll have to figure that one out on your own.. because you can potentially ruin the stick, and certainly void any warranty. I'm pretty good at this stuff, and I had a some trouble getting it all back together.

If you do try tihs (I'm advising against it  ;)  ), and get into trouble.. I (or some other members) will try to help..

I'm pretty sure that if you make sure to assign only the pedals to that function (Alt>Settings>Controls> Assignments> etc), the joystick twist function will be disabled. You should see a dialog box in that page that shows either the pedals or the stick.

I might have over-looked something, but I'm pretty sure that an axis is active, any time the stick is plugged in. I didn't see any way to select (or not select) an axis control..

If that's possible.. I'd be HAPPY ..

Update.. Rotty is correct...

Ignore my advice and go to the AXES tab in controls...
