Wherez it at???

Postby Allen_Z » Tue Nov 20, 2007 9:25 pm

You know when you start to type something, let's say in google for example, and it gives you a list of the prior 800 things you typed into google?

I know how to save a page so I don't NEED the prior 800 things I typed into google...AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!

How do I get this 'puter to STOP doing that?

'Vista Home Premium and MSN Explorer'

Thanks for any and all help  :)

Oh...If you use FireFox, simple click Tools ---> Options ---> Click the Privacy Tab ---> Now uncheck the box that says remember what I enter in forms and search bars...I don't use MSN Explorer so can't help on that bit... :-/

IE7 - TOOLS MENU - INTERNET OPTIONS - GENERAL TAB, BROWSER HISTORY- DELETE BUTTON

In the box that appears, click: DELETE FORMS which will clear the web address lists

To disable saving them:

IE7 - TOOLS MENU - INTERNET OPTIONS - CONTENT TAB - AUTO COMPLETE, SETTINGS BUTTON

Uncheck WEB ADDRESSES and FORMS (and anything else you do not wish it to save.

Click OK and then APPLY (if necessary)

Yup, did all that, but it doesn't work for the MSN Explorer browser. Does anyone use that browser and know how to change the settings?

I'd like to avoid the hassle of switching, but that is an option.
