Does anyone know of a list of all the DX10 cards, because I've seen several different lists, and it almost my birthday ;) ;D (or by any chance would my current card be DX10 compatible?) :-/

I don't know if my card is DX10 compatible...LOL...It's an 8400M GT :-X

Your old card can run DX10, but you won't get the features of it :-/ :-/

Try this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... ideo+Cards

But be warned, just because they can run DX10, doesn't mean they'll perform better than your current card.  If you want a nice boost in performance, go with the 8800 series of cards.  I have a GTX and it tears DX9 and DX10 apart.  From what I hear, the GTS is also pretty good.  I don't know about the 8600 series or anything below that, but I have heard they don't perform really well at all.  I think the ATI cards perform reasonably well, but overall, I believe the nVidia cards outperform the ATI cards.

nVidia GeForce 8800 series cards and a top of the line ATI card will run DX10.

Not much use for FS, but take a look at my WIC and Crysis shots in 'the cage'... These are made with detail on setting ;high'

Now that they are out the 8800GT's are the kings of the mid high end. They outperform the GTS by a good 10% and they are about $50 cheaper depending on which one you get.

My recommendation an eVGA 8800GT

PS: You also get the added bonus of being the first kid on your block to have a PCI-E 2.0 card.

Unless, of course, other kids on your block have Radeon HD 2600s or 2400s.  Then, you won't be the first with a PCI-E 2.0 card.

Besides, the GT won't even use the bandwidth...

True but you will be the first kid with a respectable PCI-E 2.0 card ;)

This is also true.... but what first generation hardware ever lives up to its full potential?

Yes I realised that after I bought. I made a dumb buy so my plan= buy up an Evga GT asap and sell the GTS before the GTS Rev 2 comes out. Then once the GTS Rev 2 comes out use Evgas step-up program to get the GTS.

My 8800 320Mb is great. Not the greatest in memory but still performs FS quite well. ;)
