Hi all,

This is my first post here so be gentle. Basically the title says it all. First up This machine will be running FS9 only. I don't care about fsx. I probably be running XP service pack 2. Requirements

1. Graphics fully maxed, and I mean all sliders to the right. I will be running PMDG and the likes and want too see it in all its glory.
2. SOLID 30 FPS, I want to be able to lock that baby and not see one drop in frame. Even through the biggest thunderstorm/complex addon scenery ect.

I really enjoy Fs9, and with the amount of addons for it see no reason to move to FSX.

I have been doing a bit of research and think the following System should handle the task.

Intel system with dual core processor "E6850"
2 gig of 800ghz ram
8800 GTS 640 mb version
650 watt ps
16mb cache Hard Drive 7200rpm

So if you could provide constructive feedback I really appreciate it. I will be building the system in the next 4 weeks so I will need to get cracking on this soon

Thanks again!

I think that's more then enough t run FS9 maxed out at constant FPS. I have the 8800 GTS 320Mb and i run my sim from 18-25 FPS steady. I lock mine at 25 and run it steady there. But there will be some places you will get a drop in FPS though.  ;) Like Los Angeles and Seattle. I get massive drops there.

A 640Mb card with 2Ghz of RAM will do fine.

That system will even let you play FSX with better visual quality than FS9 maxed out and at perfectly smooth fps.
