Had Win98, old but I could USE it...

Vista has its downsides but is quite nice once you get used to it.  The CFG problem is the same I had.  You need to open up the file properties and uncheck the "Read Only" option.  This should allow you to edit them now.  

Also if you haven't already...heres how to get rid of those annoying UAC messages that continually pop up.

Howdy, THANK YOU for your help, went into user accounts and fixed that problem,

AND that fixed the cfg. problem.

When I went into the cfg. file properties I saw that 'read only' was unchecked, so I tried to save new info into the file and it WORKED!!
