CH Rudder Pedals

I have a set of CH-USB rudder pedals that are in need of repair (pots are bad)..

Is is cheaper to just replace them (probably with Saitek), or pay freight both ways plus CH charges
to have them repaired ? They are out of warranty  by the way - so no help there.

Is is possible to repair them myself ? Where to get parts ?

What about the Saitek pedals. Has anybody made any comparison with the CH ?

Any comments will be appreciated.

Can't help you much since I don't own a pair of pedals yet but CH is a pretty high end product so I imagine repairing them is pretty common among owners. Most likely you will be able to order the parts through the company and if you are even slightly mechanically inclined you should do OK yourself. Just don't try it if you are like my older brother who had me drive 40 miles to put a chain on his son's minibike.  ;D

Just get replacement pots at a Radio Shack, or a place like that..

Or.. even try giving the existing ones a good cleaning blast of tuner cleaner..

Mine stopped working, opened it up and fixed it (somewhat).  It's a pain but it's possible.

You can get the proper parts as well as schematics from CH directly.
