Im thinking about finally replacing my Logitech extreme pro 3D.  Ive been eyeing the X52 for a while, but I'm wondering if I'd be better off with somethign dual-throttled.  Your thoughts?

It depends how/what you fly.

If you spend all your time flying small planes, and Boeing airliners... then a yoke is a great option.

If you spend a lot of time flying other aircraft like military aircraft, fast jets or Airbuses, you'll want a stick.

I have the X52, It's been fantastic, had it about a year now and not a single problem. I tend to fly a lot of military planes, and play IL2 a lot, so allthough the yoke wasnt an option for me at the time (the CH would also have been a bit too much money at the time) I'm glad I went with the stick.

Put simply, the X52 is great. No doubt the yoke will be great. Only you know what you enjoy flying the most, so only you can make the choice.

With my Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, the FF in FSX isn't half bad, provided you don't experiment to try and 'find' its flaws.  As long as ground shaker is set to off, then FF in FSX is pretty good, in fact, excellent (to me at least).  Though, in Force Settings, you may want to make whatever stick weaker, because some of the effects may effect you a little too strongly...
