AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

Well, after counting the funds, I might JUST be able to stretch to make a custom computer. I was thinking about the X2 6000+ because it has an attractive price for a dual core where each core clocks at 3.0GHZ.

What do people think?

Thats the socket AM2 one.... Currently intel is faster and way more expensive, so that wont be a choice

i doubt you would notice the different between an intel and an AMD when you are actualy playing a game. i wish i had gone AM2 as i would be able to upgrade to that processor

If this is a motherboard/ processor / memory purchase you would be better off and ultimately faster on a E6600.
