Well after timing a few (4) mail-in rebates, I finally pulled the trigger on my system from both TigerDirect and Newegg. Thanks to a lot of your input here, and the information I learned from reading your posts, I was able to revise my list and feel confident in my order:


-Abit IP35 Pro Mobo
-E6600 Conroe
-Crucial Ballistix 2x1gb PC6400 DDR2
-500gb Samsung HD
-BFG Tech 7950 GT OC'ed edition
-HP DVD burner w/Lightscribe
-Xion 600w PSU
-XP Pro
-Samsung 226BW 22" Glossy Wide screen LCD (in parallel with an older 15" LCD)
-Ultra Aluminus Case
-Couple of case fans, 25-in-1 card reader, etc


I'm hoping to have all the parts on Monday, at which point it's build time! Very very excited, I feel like a little kid haha  I will keep you all informed and maybe even take some pictures to document the process.
