Monitor Problems

Postby Akula. » Fri Aug 10, 2007 4:31 pm

I have a 22" widescreen TFT, and I'm looking to go triplehead with a 19" each side of it. But I've noticed that Matrox triplehead2go can only handle 3 monitors of the same resolution, so I'd have to run the widescreen at 1280x1024.

I have a sapphire X1550 512mb card which can handle two monitors, and my motherboard has a VGA output as well. Can I use all three ports? I've heard of people just adding graphics cards, but my motherboard only has one PCI-E slot and no AGP slot.

No you cannot use the VGA output, that's only there to use if you have no separate Graphics Card(s).

You need to add a PCI (not PCIe) graphics card.
