playing VOD,IFO,BUP files on windows media player

HI all
I am having some trouble using windows media player to play a dvd. The dvd file types are VOD,IFO,BUP
I don't get any error messages just nothing.W hen I go to my computer the dvd rom drive says logical volume identifier

I have played another dvd with the same file types and it works ok I know that the dvd works because it work on my wifes laptop
Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be

The problem is Windows Media Player. Have a look around for freeware DVD playing software. WMP is top heavy and VERY touchy.

use winamp, its far superior for movies etc  :) (IMO...)

VLC Media Player is also extremely versatile, and not anywhere near as resource heavy as WMP. Granted its not as fancy, but hey, it plays much more formats than WMP and Divx (most I've seen so far)... even those formats that come from getting movies in places you're not supposed to... :-X ;D
