Plain Dumb

I have been using Matrox Triple Head 2Go for some time without any problem. FSX automatically opened in VC and full screen mode across the three windows.
I had a new sound card put in today. All the drivers are up to date
Using the Nvidia driver (8800GTX), I set up the four screens correctly. I use a fourth screen for pop-ups.
Now I cannot find where to instruct FSX to open in VC. And full screen only opens in one monitor, not across three.
I can get the three screen effect by dragging in windows mode, but that stops me using the fourth screen for pop-ups.
What have I done wrong?? Please, anyone with a matrox based setup point me to my mistake or missed steps.

In Display Properties-Setiings
You'll need the first DVI output set for 3840x1024 and the second output set for 1280x1024 (assuming this is the native resolution of your 4th monitor)
Is your Graphics card set up for DualView? You can do this by using the Advanced button and then selectiing the 8800GTX tab.
In FSX you'll need to set up your Display Hardware accordingly ie first output to 3840x1024x32 and 2nd output to 1280x1024x32
You will have to run in Windowed mode and you do have to manually stretch your display over the TH2Go monitors.. (There is an ongoing thread about this on AVSIM!!)
Your 4 th display is filled by creating a newview, this then has to be UNDOCKED and dragged on to the 4th monitor.
If you now SAVE this it will remember the position of the 4th monitor..but when you re-start this configuration the TH2Go will collapse back on to a single screen and will need to be dragged over the other 2.

Jim thank you indeed.
But strangely it has never been that complicated for me. Prior to this episode the game after the opening selection window, always opened straight into a three window VC. Now it opens in a small windowed VC, but after ALT+Enter it goes directly to full screen VC, over the three windows - the 3840 pixels. I can then move the pop-ups to the fourth (second screen).
The problem that I panicked and wrote about was corrected by running a repair through FSX. How and why I do not know.
What I have now is a little less direct but still pretty good. I am contemplating uninstalling and reinstalling Matrox to see if I can get back to the original state (but prevaricating, wondering whether I should leave good enough alone).
