I was going thinking about getting a Radeon HD 2600XT 512mb GDDR4 edition. The NDA passed a few days ago and now the reviews are out.

Heres a review: http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardw ... xt_review/

Well, you know something is wrong when my, $80 two year old X850XTPE outperforms a $150 new one... X850, which by the way, costs half the 2600XT, has half the transistors, has transistors 70% larger than the 2600XT, has slow shader model 2.0b managed to consistently obliterate the Radeon HD2600. Not only that, but it can use 4x AA without halving the framerate.

I agree! It's totally screwed up. I guess all you can do is do your homework, and hope for the best!

Reminds me of the 9500 - 9600 disaster...
