YAY!  Tonight me dad ordered my laptop!

Good deal I think, should be here in a few days!  Finally I can run FSX (or, wait for the DX10 patch and keep running FS9.  Either way works)

Great laptop....

I wouldnt say it kicks Vespers ass though, the 7950GTX is slightly better than the 8600. Nice laptop though... I am getting a new PC very soon. It will kick anyone on this forums computer. easily.  ;)

Yes but I can overclock and he can't, and even if I blow up my laptop its covered under warrenty

And my 7950GTX pwns the 8600 in every way shape and form except DX10.

And my 7950GTX pwns the 8600 in every way shape and form except DX10.

We got a protection plan so if I blow it up I get a new one .  But I don't care if its not a super computer, as long as it can run FS9 well.  If FSX runs nicely too then thats just another bonus!

I wish it had the 8800 but its not mobile yet (I don't think).  The 8600 should be a lot better than my shitty X700Pro, and DX10 will be nice when the FSX DX10 patch comes out.

Well the 8800 does exist in mobile, but the cooling solution needs to be in a 17". Its like my 7950GTX. The chip could fit into a 15.4, but the copper cooler needed to keep it from melting is too large.

You should enjoy it quite nicely and it should run just about anything you want quite admirably.

Yea, but I'm gonna have to be plugged in to run anything for long.  Specs say it has a 2 hour battery life.  Possibly the only downside of the laptop (except Vista but since I haven't used Vista yet I can't really say anything against it)

Its a 15 inch on a 9 cell lith, just turn down the screen brightness a bit, and turn off your WiFi cards and bluetooth, you should be getting more like 3.5 houres.
