My 250gb Western Digital conked out on me a few weeks ago and so i used my old 80gig Seagate for the time being.

Now i have a new 250Gb WD sent to me as a replacement can I just plug it in while my seagate is hooked up and use 2 HDD?Or will there be problems?

Nope, just hope that you don't have a XP install on that seagate.

Well i was going to use the seagate as a windows hard disk drive and use my WD for everything else?

Does that sound ok or are you saying seagate drives are dodgey?

No I'm saying having multiple XP installs over 2 drives whilst running both at the same time is dangerous.

"Master" and "Slave" drives:

Don't forget to change the pin connections (with the supplied plug) on your second HDD, (have a peek at the pin connection diagram), to make your 2nd HDD the "Slave" drive.

"Windows" should be on your "Master" Drive

In the Bios Boot sequence the HDD's will appear at two separate, identified, drives... :)...!

Paul.... 8-)...!
