I'm gonna upgrade my computer probably within the next 2 weeks and I wanted to see what you think of it. I'm pushing it with the price as it is, so I don't think I can get anything better, but if you have anything to add, feel free to post it.

Wow, I don't think that I have a positive word to say about anything on that list.

The Quad core is unneeded and underpowered. Its not going to offer much of anything unless you are doing CAD, or video rendering.

I'm not a huge fan of the MSI board. I would shell out the extra cash and go with the ASUS one.

Acrylic cases are absolutely horrible for trying to hide wires. Get a Thermaltake Soprano DX if you want a big window. Also if you wan't to cut into the case, forget it with acrylic.

GSkill RAM is horrible for overclocking, hence why it is cheap. Infact its really not good for even being stable.

The power supply is again underpowered and unstable.

Infact the only thing I like on this list is the cathodes and the Zalman, but even then I would go with a 9700Cu over the 9500.

Changed a few things...better?

Corsair XMS DDRs-6400C4 is still the best overclocking RAM for under $300 there is. The board looks better, but again I like the ASUS one much better. The eVGA is only a template board, so the layout isn't the greatest.

PSU still needs changing. Earnmax, or PC Power and cooling. Thermaltake is good too.

And I still don't like that case, but thats personal preforance.

I don't overclock the memory at all. Not even sure how. I have some idea but I don't wanna mess with anything that I don't know how to do. And what asus board do you mean?

Yes, our buddy have reason! Take for Mobo the Asus one, with chipset Q965 or 975X like Intel like a P5N32-E SLI i think, and Zalman cooler it would be a good idea with a case that has exaustor and ventilator for structure, for the RAM memory, i think its good you buy for KINGSTON brand, with a 800 Mhz, and do a Dual channel for more bar tax to processor, like Two memory of 1 Gb.

When I talk about overclocking, I wasn't refering to the memory sticks themselves, however the CPU clocks that they can support. Most boards auto overclock memory to match your CPU FSB. So if you are trying to push that E6700 past say 4Ghz having good quality RAM is going to get you there stable, where as useing low quality stuff isn't.

The asus board I am a huge fan of is the P5n32-E SLi
