You have AA set ON... in the sim? Turn it off in the sim and set AA on the video card
You did not list your hardware so I do not know if the card will run these settings however for best FS9 look,...
In the sim:
Trillinear Filtering
AA OFF
Render to Texture ENABLED
Transform and Lighting ENABLED
Hardware Lights 8
Global Texture Slider 100%
Mip Quality: 4 FOR ATI and 8 FOR NVIDIA
Drivers:
4xAA
16xAF
Mip, texture or image quality to MAX
VSync: Application controlled
The rest depends on the brand of card
Make sure the monitor is set in Windows and the game to its NATIVE resolution x32. If the monitor is designed to run 1280x1024 normally, set it up in the sim the same way but make sure it is x32 and not x16

My monitor is set to 1280 x 1024.. I have AA set on the sim.. but im not sure how to put it on on my video card..... also My sim is basically set to what u described.. I just need to know how to enable AA on my video card
I need to know what kind of video card, model and manufacture for specifics but to access it there will either be a tray icon down by the clock (which I shut off on my systems) or right click the desktop, select properties, the Settings tab and then click the ADVANCED button. You should see a tab for the 3D advanced video controls and under that tab the settings I mentioned. If its ATi it will be the CCC (catylist control center) nvidia will be their driver setup page.
Turn AA OFF in the sim, it kills your performance and turn it on by the card. The card is set to 'application controlled' right now, disable that and set 4 x AA and 16 x A Filtering with the texture or mip quality sliders or setting to max, assuming your video card is good enough to handle 4xAA 16 x AF. Unless it is very old, it should.

Sorry... but I cant access my card like that... next to the clock my desktop shows the shortcut to a few anti virus programs, then dell support... and thats it

Dell Dimension E510 ... I dont think they even sell them anymore ...

OK, so now we know it is an ATI adapter but I need to know which one... You forgot to post the name of the adapter in the Device manager list before checking its properties.
Where did your current drivers come from, Dell?
If so this may be a case that the type of adapter could affect the control too. You may need to update to the ATi driver for it to have full control. Once you post the name on the adapter I will look up the info on it and find out what drivers and how you may work them, if possible

My advice, you being a newbie, is to leave it alone
The ATi drivers at the ATi web site for the x600 or x300 appear to be the same.
If it were me, I would download the latest ATi drivers directly from their web site which include the Cat Control Center, uninstall the current video drivers and reboot into safe mode, flush the old ones in safe mode using driver clean pro reboot back into Windows and install the new drivers from ATi. After a reboot from the new driver install you will have the Cat Control Center to make all the settings changes.
I am not advising you to do so. If you are not sure how to deal with driver changes and are unwilling to risk dealing with a driver update, leave what you have alone and just live with it
Part of owning a computer is learning how it works and how to upgrade drivers, change settings and optimize the use of the hardware. That comes with experience and the only way to get it is to do it, mess up and learn how to fix it. The read-me's that come with the drivers and Google can be your best friend when learning.
