Two of everything.

Finally, I have dual everything. Dual GPU, Dual core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 2 Hard Drives. For the low low price of $66 I managed to pick up a 7900GT KO from eVGA to match the current one in my rig.

Here are the pics. Oh yea, and I've added some lights too.

Zalmans all around keep everything nice'n'coo. Oh yea, and what do you think about the blue cathode under the case?

Looks great ......... probably performs fantastically ........ HOWEVER I can honestly say that it seems to be all talk and no walk. We have NEVER seen a screenshot from any of the flightsims. I'm sure that the SimV community would love to see if money is the answer to all their FS woes  ;) ;) ;)

Fantastic 3D marks are nothing without some evidence to prove the improvement over our humble rigs.

There's a direct challenge ...... let's see what you have to offer  ;D ;D

3d marks are a joke.

Well in that case, I shall reinstall FSX, and go take a jaunt at max sliders and post shots :)

Not impressed... I know you didnt tweak it but here is what you need to do and repost a shot...

1. Light bloom is for next gen DX10. Not even 8800 can handle it... shut it off

2. Autogen set to sparce is 1.5x greater than the autogen in FS9. Set to normal its almost 5x. You must tweak the config file and then the slider to balance the load.

3. Traffic maxed is insane in FSX. In FS9 with a good replacement it would be 90%. You can forget traffic in FSX right now because they messed up the models and overloaded the CPU calls on it. You can replace all the airliners and GS with frame friendly aircraft and remove the trafficaircraft.bgl file when that is done allowing the replacement traffic schedules to take over, and then set a value of about 50/75 in FSX.. otherwise forget it.

4. Ground texture set smaller than 1m is a complete and total waste. You get NO better image from 1m than you do from 7cm except the roads themselves until someone comes out with a texture set designed for 7cm. Set it to 1m, NO MORE.

DELETE the current FSX.cfg file and start over. Scroll down to post #50 (about 5 posts down) made by miltestpilot and set your sim up exactly as he outlined in those sliders EXCEPT the following items:

I think you forgot something, the link to the thread with the sliders and settings I posted

It is a Type R 580W. I haven't had a single problem with it, but I can't add any more to it, because its at its max load now, so my next rig is going to be an earnmax 850W. Also If I can suggest, get your earnmax from www.preformancepcs.com and have them custom sleeve it. They do a very professional job, and it looks like its factory stock.

2. what are your temps like with those zalmans on both the CPU and GPU?

Each idles at 39*C and maxes at 54*C. Speeds are 700Mhz core, 1800Mhz Mem. Yes they are over volted.

cheers cam, ive order my enermax now. the 500w SLI compliant modular one. i was trying to choose between the enermax and a similar hiper one, but i read reports of hiper PSU's litterlay exploding so decided against it for peace of mind.
but im more interested in those zalmans. as once i get my new case a thermaltkae armour full tower im gonna put a thermal take on my CPU and GPU to keep the temps nicely down :D

and on what you have said, im sold to the zalman man :D
