ok we've been hearing about this "optimus" keyboard, the one where each key is an LCD screen.

finally a real keyboard was shown to the public!!!

be ready to borrow a loan for this baby, cause at $1500(US) it's gonna be worth it (in my eyes).

in reality, i can see this keyboard going far in the gaming world, in the art design world, and my favorite, international relations. Just imagine someone not knowing english, and all customs has to do is change the language, and the keyboard matches their country's layout. what an amazing tool this could be. heck it even makes like easier with people using Dvorak (I tried, nasty results... :P).

Still like the keyboard but the price is outrageous for something that is known for a short lifespan.
A keyboard is probably the most abused part of a computer setup there is .

Thanks Ramos. Very nice, but I think I'll stay with my good ol' reliable Northgate OmniKey keyboards for now. They work with any 100% PC AT/XT compatibles from 80286 on up, PS/2 systems(except PS/2 model 25), Amiga 2000 & 2500, Amstrad, ATT 6300, ATT-WGS, and Tandy 1000 SX. It also has 2 Dvorak layouts, switchable Caps Lock, Ctrl, and Alt key functions, switchable * and \ functions, variable repeat and delay rate, "sticky keys" feature, comma/period lock, and a few other gizmos.
