whats out there for our new friend PCI Express?

ok from the obvious facts, PCI-E has taken a firm seat in the graphics market with X16.

but the PCI-E Consortium also has X1 (another Popular slot) and X4 and X8.

I did some research on newegg for PCI-E X1 cards. a couple of NIC's and 2 crappy internal USB hubs popped up, but nothing special.

what is to become of X4 and X8? i was told logn ag they are for business and industry... but whats the real story?

Well, they are just waiting to be exploited is all.

X16 is for graphic cards, Physics accels and SAS SCSI adapters
X4 and X8... havent seen these yet
X1: seen some SATA cards for these as well as gigabit LAN
