Zalman CPU Cooler

I've just replaced the standard Intel supplied CPU cooler on my X6800 with a Zalman CNPS9500-AT Aero Flower.

I don't know if it's normal, but as long as it has contact that is uniform and firm it shouldn't matter. The pressure on some stock clamping systems is frightening!

Everest has a temp sensor reading in it if you need a cross reference.

PC Wizard on the cpuz site has a temp monitoring function.

I also purchased a 9700 recently, and i will tell you it's normal for a bit of looseness. it's held by the Pipelines with the clamp perfectly, so any "space" should be well covered in thermal paste. but My zalman sits neatly on the processor, not to tight, not too loose. for max airflow and cooling.

3.92Ghz on a Presler keeping it a cool 42*C. Not too bad for a 9500Cu-LED and AS5.

Also my V900Cu-LED is keeping my 7900GTs (yes now plural) a cool 35*C a piece.

Zalman are the best aircoolers on the market.
