We lost our tv & my monitor due to old age.

There is a flat TV ( ex. lexsor lc27w18sd) 27" (

I can't answer your question luke, but why is the "Web exclusive" price dearer than the In store price?
And as far as PC World goes, I don't buy from them due to bad experiences with them... and their staff.

yes friend why, but at least I tried & returned a few things at pcworld, maplin, currys etc, & only bought 1 or 2 very small things on line as cannot trust it. Just a whim really. Friends do it a lot.

Why not take a trip to PC World and get one of the asistants to hook it up to a PC so you can see for yourself.. However, for a large screen it will only have a relatively small resolution of about 1200x760 pixels

Is your quote of "1200x760" very far worst from 1024 x 768 that I've been looking at for the last few years on my old monitors?

If not much difference for the fs9 & no other snags arising, then it may be OK.

Just for interest, what would the difference be from my present 1024 x 768 and what a proper lower price flat monitor would give?                   luke

No it won't be worse it will be marginally better and if you're used to 1024x768 you'll have the same level; of detail, however the small resolution and the larger monitor will tend to exagerate the 'Jaggies' so you will need to ensure that you have anti-aliasing on.
