I have a very noobish question here, and if it already stated somewhere, please direct me. Is there a way to finad out my RAM speed without opening up my computer and looking at the sticker? (I have alredy gone into control panel and clicked on system, but no dice.) I need to know this to buy more RAM.

You can use software to check:

However, there is no substitute for visually checking it, unless you void your warranty by opening the case (and that would suck) then open it up, pull a stick out and check. In any event, a higher spec ram upgrade will usually be compatible with older slower ones.

If you don't have much experience, you would be well advised to post your findings and specs here for purchase advice, there are some traps to consider.

CPU-Z works just as well, though Evrest is a much better all around program.
