ATI or someone is really starting to TICK ME OFF!

Okay, so I've FINALLY managed to get the computer to let me use DVI, but now I get other problems.  When I start the computer, the thing is completely messed up, the display is 'corrupt' and shows weird colored lines.  If I unplug the digital and plug in analogue, I can see but its analogue.  THEN after switching it like that I can switch it back to digital the same way and everything is fine.

I think the problem has something to do with ATI.  Every friggin time I start the computer this CCC box pops up saying "Catalyst Control Center will not be fully functional until SMARTGART has determined..." And so CCC doesnt start until AFTER windows loads.  This makes me think that it is the cause of all my problems.  How do I get rid off this damn smartgart crap and get my monitor to load in digital properly!?

Make sure that you have selected the appropiate display/connection in the card properties or something like that, if you haven't done something like that, then maybe the card is still working as if the connector was VGA.

No, its definately selected right, the computer recognizes it as a digital display.
