Hey guys i just bought a cheap dell optiplex gx150 from pratt and whitney (refurbished) just as a backup comp, i went to install xp on it and once it was done copying files it did the restart and it just keeps going to the blue screen of death with a vga64k infinite loop error for the life of me i cant figure out how to fix it! Has anyone else had this happen to them before and could you give me some advice? Heres 2 shots of the screen
Boot from the CD and before you start installing Win XP..first delete all the partitions so that your hard-drive is one completely unpartitioned space..Then do a FULL Format on that unpartitioned space using NTFS. After the format install XP.
That looks like a hardware error.... Mine was a soundcard on the HP... I eventually got it to boot but ugh... It fried anyways. I'd try what jimcooper1 said and just try it... you never know ;D

You're right Gunny..it is almost certainly a BIOS hardware error..but worth trying that first because DELL put some strange sh*t in their boot partitions. Next step if that doesn't work is to restore BIOS to default settings. If that doesn't work..trudge back to Pratt & Whitney and ask for your money back!!
