I bought a 22-inch wide-screen monitor last night and hooked it up today. It is too bright and it stretches the image from east to west. I am not amused.  :'( How do I reset this thing to look more realistic? Is it something I do in Windows or in the user manual?

Set the resolution up for the monitor in the GPU settings that will help!

I don't know what you mean, Gunny. It has a CD, but I have not fooled with it yet. When I bought the machine and had the video card put in, the technician was doing something with the Catalyst software. I have no idea what, but I think it best to just leave it alone for now. Now, where's that CD? I had it just last night...

Right click on the desktop, properties, settings and find the resolution 1680 x 1050 and if its not in there, add it yourself in the advanced tab. I had the same problems with this computer when I bought it!

You need to determine the native resolution of the monitor...do you have a manual??

most 22 inch widescreens are the res I said, I looked it up through various monitors and all the ones I found were that. You will probably have to manually add a widescreen resolution, I did. The make/model of the monitor would help to in case the resolution was different, but I doubt it!
