Not for me, I wish it were, but its for a client.

Here are the specs.

Case: Thermaltake Swing
Processer: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
Motherboard ASUS P5B Delux
GPU: ATi Radeon X1650XT
RAM: 2GB OCZ Gold DDR2-667
Hard Drive: Western Digital 160GB SATAIII
DVD Drive: Samgsung DVD+/-RW 18x
PSU: Hiper Type R
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Monitor: Samgsung 20" widescreen

For general computing, and light gaming from their kids, I think its $1550 well spent. Any other suggestions?

Not sure what their needs are but I'd be tempted to put in a larger hard-drive ...how much extra for a 320GB

As for the drive, I may throw in the bigger drive. They didn't think they would need it. They would rathar use an extirnal.

As long as Vista works ok, it looks good. Is the client aware of the inbuilt Vista reporting services or is everyone just ignoring this now?

I told them about that, they werent thrilled, I told them I could turn that off, they were happy.

If you know what your doing, you can have a very nice expirance.

And why is everyone so "OMFG" about vista calling home?

For gaming yes, but for regular computing, Aero only needs 128MB

An inexpensive

Great idea,  but you can boot like a floppy with a USB flash drive. You just have to go into your boot menu and force it to boot from the flash.

Just got it ordered, changed a few things though. Got a Gigabyte P965-DS3 instead of the ASUS board. Aparently the Gigabyte runs more stable with the new F4 bios than the ASUS does.

Watch out for that memory with the DS3 though.  I know that is the 667 RAM, but some people with the 800 RAM have problems with the system not booting, and had to manually change the memory voltage through the BIOS.  I'm not sure if this is the issue with the 667 though.

Trust me I have done way too much resurch on this subject, and well know of the problem. I posted on the OCZ forum and many many people said that the sticks I chose will run just fine on the board, and just about anything runs on the F4 BIOS.
