Problems with null zones on the Saitek J/S

Hello Chums... :)...!

This may have been covered before...
..but it's a wet, miserable day outside, and I've not got much else to do....
..so, here goes...

On all my "other" joysticks, whenever firing up the Sim, providing that the stick was centralised, and the throttle was set to "off", everything was fine for a run straight down the centre of the runway as the throttle was gently opened....
...but...
On my new Saitek Cyborg Evo Force joystick, (I love saying that, it trips off the tongue beautifully!), as  soon as I fire up the Sim, I have to very quickly rotate the stick throughout it's full travel in all directions, and then operate the throttle through its full travel a few times, or else the aircraft accelerates VERY QUICKLY and zooms off onto the grass to the right of the runway....(nothing to do with engine/prop Gyro forces... ;)...).... >:(...!

Once this has been done, the stick works fine for the rest of Sim flights for that session.

It has a mind of its bleedin' own... :o...!

The joystick doesn't default to a zero/null/off position when the computer is first switched on, which all my other joysticks used to do, providing that the stick was centralised and the throttle set to its minimum position... :'(...!

There's sumfin' strange with this particular stick of joy... :-[...!!

...anyone else experienced this particular problem with this make/type of joystick... :-[...?

Cheers all... ;)...!

Paul..... 8-)...!

...and it's still wet and miserable outside...Bugger... >:(...!

Sorry to hear about you're multiple dilemas there Paul, but now we all know why your garden produces so well. ;)  I reckon calibrating your game controller isn't the worst thing to happen in the world. Just hope some strange comet dust doesn't reconstitute wife #1 or wife #2 or both #1 & #2, wherein they come after you seeking to have a nosh on your brain matter(would that be a meal or a snack?  ;D ).  ;D ;D ;D ;D

cheers...Mush...raining now.......still too cool to produce any delectible morels.  :)

You should try reinstalled the bugger completely,

First remove all of the software and the controller, then restart, if your all fired up restart again, then install the stick again(software/drivers etc) and then restart once again. Now you should have your stick all dandy and all running again.
