Okay its 2:35am and I can't sleep, so insted I will post some random numbers taken in a survey by Steam that just finished recently.

Out of 680156 people since Nov 15th

Network Speed
1st: 2,048 Kbps = 31.49%
2nd: 768 Kbps = 16.04%
3rd: 256 Kbps = 15.34%

System RAM
1st: 512 ~ 999MB = 48%
2nd: 256 ~ 511MB = 28.4%
3rd: 1.5 ~ 1.99GB = 13.89%

Processer
1st: Intel = 50.01%
2nd AMD = 49.98%
3rd others = 0.01%

GPU
1st: nVidia 6600 = 9.48%
2nd ATi 9600 = 5.96%
3rd: nVidia FX 5200 = 5.83%

I personally found this intresting. If you think about the fact that Steam runs many of the most popular games such as Counter Strike, and Half Life that most people playing are useing lower end rigs.
