That acer 19 is a nice monitor I have one but unless you have a good graphics card running games maxed is a chore!
Gunny (is a nice big monitor though)

I just bought an LG 19". It is not a WS, silver/black colors, 1600:1 Contrast ratio and a 2 MS Responce time. forgot the model but its and LG Flatron Slim. No probs so far, no dead pixels. Sharp colors and with a 2 ms responce you wont see ghosting in even the fastest of First Person Shooters. It cost me about $300 USD

The only thing I don't like about the Acer is how color is displayed took me well over 3 hours to get it looking good, same goes for contrast and brightness levels hard to get it at a good setting but still nothing like my Viewsonics.
Other than that a simple to install moitor that runs on Windows drivers and no software to install.

If you buy a widescreen in 19" it will be like a 15" monitor with long sides....... useless.
I'd be looking for a standard apsect ratio gaming monitor with high refresh rate, minimum 5ms, 2ms preferable.
Good luck though, the widescreens are so faddish, you can hardly find a decent monitor anymore :'(
