paste copies popup

Postby luke » Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:19 am

What is this annoying popup of ".....do you want to paste from clipboard...." or something every time we get into the new Simviation now?.

Any way to stop it?           thanx                luke

It's an IE7 security feature. Nothing to do with Simviation or any other website. You can disable it if you wish. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/09/25/disable-allow-this-webpage-to-access-your-clipboard-pop-up-warning-message-in-ie7/

Note that alternative Web browsers such as Firefox and Opera do not allow Windows clipboard data-stealing.

I use IE6, and there is nothing like this in "scripting", so I dsabled something else looking like it.

I had the same problem, it started as I switched to IE7.
Never had the problem with IE6, though I changed to IE7 the same day the forums changed.. :P

That's strange. I've never had this happen in IE6. From what I read it was introduced with IE7.

I think it is in IE6 but you don't have the options to disable it.

Worked in my IE6, I went as Hagar sugested and in Scripting found "Allow paste ops via script" which I changed to "Disable".

No pop-up anymore!
